(a) review the entire instruction manual before you begin installation (b) revision of parts list/kit content to ensure that all parts are present before starting installation. If there is a lack of any issues contact Technical Support at (800) 688-5912 before continuing. Loosen the 2 hose clamps. Remote 2 bolts, then Remove the air cleaner (fig. 2-5). Remove the air filter from the air cleaner and replace it with the new TRD air filter. Dedicated air cleaner for now.Disconnect the throttle body connector. Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the throttle with the motor body and gasket. Leave the throttle body connected to the coolant hoses for now (Figure 3-1). Remove the 3 upper bolts used to secure 2 Surge tank stay and throttle body angular figs 4-1 and 4-5). Loosen the 2 bolts that hold the brackets to the side of the cylinder head. Remove and discard the bracket attached to the front of the cylinder head. Warning: before proceeding, make sure there is no dirt or debris on or around the base of the wave tank. If there is, you must remove it so that it does not want to enter the engine when the Surge tank removed. (e) uses an 8 mm Allen socket, remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts with a 12 mm socket. Remove the Surge tank and gasket (Figure 4-6).
