Many functions in today's Modern vehicles are controlled by electronic control units (ECUs). ECU control components such as engine, instrumentation and certain functions of the vehicle. VCADS Elite is TM Windows – based on the software tools developed to test, calibration and program the parameters for the Volvo ECU. VCADS Elite software is installed on your PC. The computer is connected to a communications vehicle through the communication .interface (Volvo part number 9998555). VCADS Elite provides the tests and calibrations for Volvo vehicles that are fitted with vehicle Electronics ' 98 (VECTRO II) or VERSION2 electronic control systems. Application consists of many standard graphical interfaces, such as graphs and continuously displays the parameter values. Operations are organized in accordance with the function groups menu. Some ECU have changeable parameters, which can be used to adapt or adjust some features. Volvo ECU often have two types of parameters: the parameters of the client and the vehicle.Parameters, the client can be programmed locally using the VCADS Elite. Vehicle parameters are typically used to set up the vehicle when it is built in and changes in these parameters requires connection FROM VDA hosting (data administration) in a Volvo. They could not read or programmed with VCADS Elite. These changes must be carried out by dealers of Volvo trucks. VCADS Elite is based on an application called VCADS Pro. This is why "vcads Pro" name is visible in many places in the application. VCADS Pro is used globally by Volvo dealers to support a wide range of Volvo products. This manual is intended to guide the user through set up and installation of the VCADS Elite. Some operations are explained in this guide, however, for more information, refer the user manual supplied with the application.
